Committee Charge
As a public institution, Mississippi State University has a responsibility to ensure the integrity and objectivity of research carried out by the University. The Conflict of Interest Review Committee will serve the campus community by reviewing University research relationships for potential conflicts of interest and ensuring that a researcher’s personal interest in, or commitment to, entities outside the University’s purview does not compromise or appear to compromise his/her objectivity.
The Conflict of Interest Review Committee at MSU will review annual disclosures that present a potential financial conflict of interest and have the responsibility for recommending that an actual or potential conflict be reduced, eliminated or managed.
Meeting Schedule
At this time, it has not been deemed necessary to schedule regular, monthly meetings of the Conflict of Interest Review Committee. The Committee will meet on an as-needed basis when Administrators learn that a that a potential conflict exists and requires committee review.
